The Bible
AV1611 Bible Believers Baptist Church believes that the King James Bible Authorized Version 1611, the Old and New Testament of the Bible is without error, infallible, and has been preserved in the King James Version, and is thereby “given by inspiration of God” (2 Tim. 3:16) is the sole and final Authority in all matters of faith and practice. (Psalm 12:6-7, Isaiah 34:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21)
The True God
We believe in the One and True God. The Triune God, who exists as One in Three Persons: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This divine Trinity is eternal and indivisible, with each Person coexisting in perfect unity and possessing identical nature. Their power, glory, and essential attributes are equal, and they are united in the Godhead. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Timothy 1:17, 1 John 5:7, Matthew 3:15-17, and 2 Corinthians 13:14.)
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, and His atoning death for sinners. The Lord Jesus Christ, described as "God manifest in the flesh," gave Himself and shed His precious blood on the cross of Calvary for the forgiveness of sin and for the redemption of man. His resurrection from the dead and physical ascension to heaven are also literal events. (1Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:18, Ephesians 1:8, Romans 1:4, and 1 Corinthians 15.)
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person possessing all the attributes of personality and of deity. He is equal with the Father and the Son and is of the same nature. We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates the believer and that He indwells (Rom.8:9), seals (Eph. 4:30), guides (Rom. 8:14), witnesses (Rom. 8:16), sanctifies (2 Thess. 2:13), and helps the believer.
The Eternal State of Mankind
When a saved person die, his soul immediately goes up to heaven and live there forever, and when the unsaved die, the souls immediately go down to hell and burn there forever. (2 Cor 5:8, Luke 16:22,23, Matthew 25:41,16
Salvation of Man
In this church age, the salvation of sinners from the penalty of sin in literal Hell-fire is achieved by grace through faith (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:13, 2:8, 4:30). Upon believing in and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, individuals are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption it is the "Eternal Security" of the believer—once a person is saved they cannot lose their salvation (Rom. 8:38-39; John 10:28).
We also believe that a sinner has the free will and capacity to voluntarily choose or reject believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for salvation. Those who choose to believe in Jesus' redemptive work, confess to Him, and receive Him as Lord and personal Savior receives the precious gift of salvation. It's important to clarify that the act of repeating a prayer doesn't in itself lead to salvation. Once an individual is saved, their salvation is eternally secured, regardless of future sins. Our stance also involves rejecting notions that undermine repentance, the sinner's prayer, and the concept of salvation as a free gift. We also reject Calvinism, the idea of salvation through mere acceptance of the sinner's prayer without genuine belief, the belief that salvation comes solely from accepting Jesus as Lord (Easy Believism), and the notion that one can be saved only upon achieving perfection without sin. (Lordship Salvation) (References: Acts 20:21, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 4:30).
Church as "the Body of Christ"
We believe in two biblical meanings of “church.” One is the Body of Christ, it is a spiritual body called "The Church" which composed of all saved Christians ( 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 5:23-32); and it will soon be caught up in the air at imminent return of Jesus Christ ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 ) to take His "Bride" away before the Tribulation Period.
Local Church
This is the other "church" which is a local gathering of saved Christians, it is an organized assembly of professing Christians baptized by immersion lead and ruled by an ordained pastor for the spiritual purposes of worship, prayer, teaching and preaching the Bible, evangelistic and missionary endeavors, mutual aid, and as a testimony for Jesus Christ to the community. ( Ephesians 4:11; Hebrews 13:7, 17; 1 Peter 5:1-3; Acts 4:11, 13,14 ). Therefore, a saved Christian is not to be left alone, but must join a local church that aligns with the Word of God, it's best to find a independent Baptist Church that believes in the preserved Word of God as final authority, and that they are true Bible believers in doctrine and practice.
Church Ordinances
We believe in only two ordinances practiced by the Church: the Lord's Supper, and Water baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and is only administered after salvation.
1) Water Baptism
We believe that after a man is saved, he should follow the Lord in believers baptism. This is not a part of his salvation, but an answer of a good conscience toward God. The believer does this to make a public profession, that he is trusting in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which baptism by immersion pictured in (1 Pet 3:21, Acts 8:35-37, Matt 28:19-20.)
2. The Lord's Supper
We believe that a believer should partake of the Lords Supper periodically, to remind him of what the Lord has done for him. When he does this, he should examine himself to see if there is any controversy between him and the Lord, and get it settled before he partakes of the Lords Supper. This is done for a remembrance, and a restoration of fellowship. (1 Cor 11:23-33)
There are only two offices in the church, pastor and deacon, and these offices are reserved for men. Church and state are separate and do not govern each other.(Ephesians 4:11-14, 1 Corinthians 11:20-34, Matthew 3:16, 28:19, 1 Timothy 3:1-13, John 18:36).
The End Times:
Rapture
We believe in a pre-tribulation rapture of all saved believers, where the Lord will come and call all saved believers up into heaven, both the dead and the living. We believe the day is imminent when Jesus Christ will return to rapture the Church before the Great Tribulation. (1 Cor 15:12-50, 1 Thess 4:13-18)
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe that at the end of the Great Tribulation, the pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and will establish His throne in Jerusalem, as His earthly visible Kingdom, and He will reign as King of the Messianic Kingdom all over the Earth as promised to the nation of Israel for a thousand years. ( 1 Samuel 7:16; Psalms 89:34-37; Isaiah 9:7; Romans 11:26; Luke 21:21-23, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Romans 11:25-29, Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-6)
Gender Separation
We believe that Christians should strive to live a godly life as far apart as possible from the world. We reject sinful acts such as drinking, smoking, gambling, swearing, fornication, and homosexuality. We reject the ecumenical interreligious movement and the apostasy and compromise caused by the weakening of doctrine. (1 Cor 5:11, Gal 5:17-21, Ro 16:17)
About Signs
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but exclude the gifts called “signs” (speaking in tongues, visions, prophecy, healings, visible baptism in the Holy Spirit). The reason people used to show such signs in the past is because (1) the words had to be confirmed at the time of the apostles' ministry when the written word was not yet completed, and (2) the signs were originally given for the sake of the Jews. We believe that such signs gradually disappeared because (1) the purpose of the signs was also lost as the gospel passed from the Jews to the Gentiles, and (2) the apostles also acknowledge in their epistles that the gift of signs had been cut off. and (3) because we have the complete Bible today. Therefore, we act by faith in the Word of God and not by visible signs. There is no biblical basis to support that signs take place today, rather the Bible says that Satan's workers perform signs and miracles in the end times. He has a right to test any man who claims to be doing signs. (Mark 16:14, 17-18, 2 Tim 4:20, 1 Cor 1:22, Acts 13:45-46, Heb 2:3-4, 2 Cor 5:7, Ro 10:17, Mark 13:22, Revelation 2:2)
Creation
We reject evolution and believe that God created the universe in six literal days with 24-hour days. (Mark 10:6, Genesis 1-2, Isa 45:18)
Material Giving
We believe that all Christians should financially support the ministry. Material giving is not limited to the tithe of a willing heart, but it deserves to be given sacrificially. (1 Cor 16:2, 2 Cor 9:6-7)
Dispensationalism
We believe in rightly dividing the Bible to define the responsibilities that mankind has to God through the ages. Through the historical and grammatical approach to the Bible, its literal interpretation, and the principle of progressive revelation, we can understand God's economy aright. We reject the Calvinistic view that the means of salvation are the same at all times. We also reject the Hyper-dispensationalist view that the teachings of the Old Testament and the general epistles cannot be applied to the Christian life today. (2 Tim 2:15, 3:16-17, 1 Pet 1:10-12, 2 Pet 3:16, 18)
Gospel preaching - Witnessing
We believe that every Christian should strive to reach souls everywhere, in every way possible. This includes direct and indirect involvement and support for missionary work, street preaching, door-to-door evangelism, tract distribution, and one-on-one evangelism. (Acts 1:8, 20:20)
