We believe in a future Tribulation associated with Daniel’s Seventieth Week and occurring after the Rapture of the Church. We recognize the commonly held understanding that Daniel’s Seventieth Week consists of seven years divided into two equal periods of three and one-half years. However, we do not make the total seven-year duration a point upon which fellowship must stand or fall. We do believe clearly that the Great Tribulation proper is the latter three and one-half years, corresponding to the second half of Daniel’s Seventieth Week, during which the Antichrist reaches the height of his persecution and opposition to God.
We believe a literal future Antichrist will arise, oppose God, persecute the saints, exalt himself, and institute a system requiring the Mark of the Beast for economic participation. Receiving the Mark and worshiping the Beast results in irreversible divine condemnation.
We believe the 144,000 are literal Israelites, twelve thousand from each of twelve named tribes. They are not the Church.
We believe the two witnesses of Revelation 11 are Moses and Elijah. They minister during the Tribulation, are killed by the Beast, lie dead for three and one-half days, and are resurrected and caught up.
We believe there is a catching up and resurrection of Tribulation saints associated with the close of the Tribulation period, distinct from the Church’s pre-Tribulation Rapture.
